Line Cook Ad
The Glen house Resort is located in the heart of the thousand islands. Along the St Lawrence River. We are a casual fine dining establishment with a large seated dining room offering full meal entrees as well a relaxed lounge area serving pub fare items. Our establishment also includes facilities to hold larger groups and functions in an indoor and outdoor setting for events, weddings and banquet functions.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated and passionate about food. Who are wanting to join our kitchen team for the upcoming 2022 season!
Line Cook Requirements
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook an asset
- Previous experience in a la carte/ Buffet settings as asset
- Understanding of various cooking methods, procedures ingredients and equipment
- Knowledge of food principles/ food safety protocols/ HACCP
- Valid Food Handlers certificate
- Maintains high standards for cleanliness, organization, health and safety
Line Cook Responsibilities:
- Answer/ report to the chef/sous chef and assist with daily tasks
- Prepare food in accordance to the chef/ sous chefs specifications
- Stock/Prepare line stations with all necessary supplies for menu
- Ensure all food items prepared are dated/labeled/stored properly.
- Effective and efficient communication skills
- Ensure all food dishes leaving the kitchen are in accordance to chefs specifications
- Ensure proper break down/cleanup of station and leftover food items
- Maintains positive and professional attitude towards all fellow coworkers
