Manager of the production kitchen
Full-Time
Number of hours per week : between 30 and 40
Shift : Day, Evening
Availability : Anytime
Summary
Its mandate is to take responsibility for the entire production of the kitchen in order to offer products and services of high quality, beyond the expectations of the customers. Increase sales and maximize profits by implementing the controls necessary to achieve budget targets. The person will need to have very good cooking skills, a good level of autonomy, entrepreneurial skills and good communication to achieve our growth goals.
Responsibilities:
- Participates with management in the development of objectives, ensures compliance and clearly communicates expectations to his/her work team while providing feedback for continuous improvement to achieve the desired results;Ensures with the Business Manager that cost, time, quantity and quality targets are met;
- Organizes, coordinates and optimizes production activities according to specific processes;
- Oversees and participates in recipe development and menu production;
- Ensures and controls the quality and product standards when receiving and producing all finished products;
- Responsible for the improvement and development of production processes in collaboration with the Business Manager;
- Works closely with the departments of the various stores to maintain high quality standards for raw materials, manufactured products and finished products;
- Applies policies and procedures, adheres to government and occupational health and safety standards and ensures that they are consistently applied and adhered to by all employees;
- Ensures the accuracy and quality of ordered products are provided to stores to ensure a business loan;
- May participate in the Innovation and Business Development Committee to meet the requirements of its clients;
- Keeps abreast of the latest technological and industrial developments and must be able to anticipate developments;
- Plans work schedules and staff assessment while engaging the work team;
- Manages its staff (hiring, performance, discipline, etc.);
- Forms, motivates and creates a climate of trust and communication within your team;
- Manages loss prevention (waste, theft, inventory loss, breakage, etc.);
- Other related tasks:
Required requirements:
- You have a degree in Cooking, Hotel Management or equivalent;
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience managing a commercial kitchen or equivalent;
- Excellent knowledge of various production management techniques and industrial automation;
- You are familiar with the product and the specificities related to the processing of food products and the processing of raw materials;
- Excellent knowledge of legislation (health and health, health and safety);
- You are curious and creative;
- You promote communication and teamwork.
