Louie Louie is a French-inspired American bistro in the heart of University City in Philadelphia. Colorful combinations of art nouveau mixed with a seventies vibe combine modern décor with the timelessness of a grand European cafe. The menu is inspired by French classical combination of flavors using seasonal ingredients in a modern presentation complemented with colorful specialty cocktails, craft beer, and matching wine list. The Salon offers custom lux seating, perfect for gathering with friends for cocktails and snacks. Outdoor seating reminiscent of a French cafe is the ideal spot for dining and people watching.

Louie Louie is looking for a professional Chef de Partie who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning food, cooking meals, and maintaining a clean work area. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using proven recipes
  • Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all basic prep procedures used in the kitchen
  • Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards
  • Work with the team of chefs to prepare all menu items
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate out old productsSalary/Benefits
  • $50,000-$60,000 per year

  • Paid Time Off (Vacation): 3 weeks (Year 1-4), 4 weeks (Year 5+)
