Executive Chef

We’re looking for someone to join our team as an Executive Chef who is responsible for managing kitchen operations. Training and mentoring of staff is also a main criteria. This person will prepare daily meals for clients based on their dietary needs and make sure that the quality of the food and budgets are maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Prepares, cooks, and bakes meals for the facility
• Ensures menu is a balanced nutritional meal
• Prepares modified diets and any additional items requested by the clients
• Operates grill, deep fat fryer, steam cooker, saws, slicers, mixers, and other related equipment
• Creates and submits to vendors weekly orders of perishable and non-perishable goods
• Works with vendors to schedule deliveries
• Receives all deliveries and supervises storage
• Assists in cleaning equipment and area before and after meals
• Maintains health and safety standards
• Maintains appropriate levels of inventory of non-perishable and perishable items
• Schedules, trains and mentors the Kitchen staff
• Other duties as assigned

Education/ Experience:

• Degree or certification from a culinary institution preferred
• ServSafe certification required
• Supervisory experience required
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Spanish preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant/hospitality preferred
• Must satisfy post-offer, pre-employment conditions such as tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, reference check. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with law and company policy.
