Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Cook 1 – Pastry is an integral part of the AGO Food and Beverage team. The Cook 1 – Pastry will participate in pastry production for all F&B venues including Special Events, Café, Members Lounge, Espresso bar and the AGO Bistro.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- A couple of years’ directly related experience at a high quality hospitality or retail operation
- Provincial Certificate of Qualification as a pastry cook, or equivalent training or experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of pastry skills and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to handle all kitchen equipment, and demonstrate safe handling to others
- Demonstrated knowledge of food handling, safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and organization skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospitality practices and procedures
