Pastry Chef
Inn on the Twenty is seeking a Pastry Chef to join their incredible team! The Pastry Chef manages and administers the daily operation of the pastry shop consistent with the high quality standards required in a superior hotel and conference facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
- Accountable to the Owner, guests, employees.
- Ensures that the pastry shop is running a smooth and efficient manner through the supervision, training and direction of the bakery staff.
- Hires, discharges and schedules staff as required.
- Assists the Executive Chef in the annual budgeting activated with respect to costing and maintaining budget guidelines as set out by the General Manager.
- Designs, presents and implements the dessert menu.
- Participates and supervises all baking activities of the bakery.
- Orders all food inventories to meet the baked requirements of the hotel restaurants.
- Completes all necessary reports and order forms as required by the Executive Chef.
Our ideal Candidate will possess:
- Red Seal Certification.
- Completed apprenticeship requirements for Ontario.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in a bakery in a progressive position.
- Current Safe Food Handler’s Certificate.
