Salary range is negotiable and will be based on experience.

  • Co-ordinate and conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain daily communication with the team in relation to the kitchen operations

  • Continually train, mentor, develop and motivate quality kitchen staff
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, hiring and onboarding of new team members as needed
  • Conscientiously learn, observe and maintain Browns Socialhouse systems and operations
  • Hands-on execution of the highest operational standards
  • Serve consistently excellent food to our exact specifications
  • Champion and lead delivery of menu rollouts to kitchen team, including training of new menu items and product updates
  • Manage food, kitchen labor, and other kitchen-related costs
  • Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving and conduct food cost analysis with management team
  • Lead immaculately clean kitchen and food safety practices with high standards

Job Requirements/Qualifications:You should have:

  • Some management experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong computer and office administration skills
  • The ability to train effectively and execute to uphold our strong, positive culture
  • A passion for food, beverage and all things related to the restaurant business
  • An ability to build and foster relationships
  • High attention to detail
  • A true passion for team development
  • Experience in an upscale casual restaurant environment
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude and fosters a fun and collaborative environment
  • Adapts quickly to changing work environment
  • Franchise/Corporate and/or multi-unit background an asset
  • Kitchen systems focus in a corporate environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours
  • Possess a passion for food quality and an eye for detail
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Current GHS, First Aid, and Food Safe training. We can provide the opportunity to complete this training, if necessary.
Recommended Training: 

  • FOODSAFE Level 1 by Distance Education
