Short Order Cook – Nutrition & Food Services

This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.
Responsibilities
The Short Order Cook in Room Service is responsible for preparing patient meals to order while following safe food handling procedures and providing overall service excellence.
- Frequent physical demands including extensive standing and walking, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and transferring food supplies throughout the shift.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate in their application/resume that they meet the following criteria:
- Grade XII
- 1 year relevant experience required
- Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
- Communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
