Pastry Chef / Cook

Scanway Catering is currently seeking for two professional, experienced Pastry Chefs / Cooks to work in our downtown commercial catering kitchen.

The Pastry Chef / Cook will work in the catering kitchen to support day-to-day catering operations and will have an understanding of offsite catering.

The Pastry cook will be responsible for:

 

  • preparing desert dishes including cakes, pastries, etc.
  • providing offsite events with a wide variety of food items
  • maintaining the food costs and records of inventory
  • Cooking and handling the items
  • preparing dishes as per food allergies and intolerances

Requirements:

  • Certificate in Culinary Arts and pastry making will be an asset
  • Great attention to detail and creativity
  • Experience in working in a team

Experience required:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience is required
